  • Internship Opportunities

As part of our service to the citizens of Hamilton County, the Clerk of Courts offers opportunities for individuals to intern at the Clerk of Courts Office. These programs offer selected participants exposure to local government and provide positive results for everyone involved including judicial officers, Court administration, staff, volunteers, interns, externs and, finally, our community.

    Internships/Externships:

    College Students:

An internship or externship with the Clerk of Court’s Office is a great introduction to a career in public service. The Clerk’s Office offers paid summer internships for college students as well as unpaid externship opportunities (for college credit) throughout the academic year. Each intern or extern is assigned to a specific division of the Clerk’s Office to assist with daily operations and complete meaningful projects. Placements are based on each student’s interests, skills, and academic background as balanced with the organizational needs of the Clerk’s Office. In addition to the work in their “home” division, interns and externs receive an introduction to the full scope of operations at the Clerk of Courts’ Office.

The application period for summer internships opens each January and closes in March. Please note that all summer internships for 2019 have been filled.
